Gold Coast Marathon… 05.07.09

‘Fitness in Numbers’ entered a team of 13 in the 10km event at today’s Marathon… it wasn’t easy finding all of them in the crowd – but they ALL returned PBs! There were also 2 in the 5km event – and 2 ran in the Half Marathon.

Mooloolaba – on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast… Yeah – right! Lingering cyclone… huge surf – forced moving of swim leg into the river – long connecting run to transition… Half way through the bike leg – overcast turned to downpour… Disposable poncho kept the camera dry – but didn’t make it any easier to hold focus…
